Imperial Guard Army Project

A new project has been under way for some time now and that is my Imperial Guard foot horde. This was and is a huge project and something a bit different I think.

What I wanted:
I wanted this army to be a few things, one I wanted it to be painted as Cadians. I've played a number of armies over the years but often I would put my own spin on fluff or paint scheme this time I want to be true to both. Second I wanted lots of dudes, I wanted to put down more models then ever seen before or at least out number my opponent 4 to 1. 3rd I had to if I was gonna go pure Cadian use Creed and Kell. Lastly I wanted the list to be competitive.

Where I stand currently:
It took me the better part of 2 weeks of on and off assembly but I finally have the army assembled. It was a huge undertaking with the list have 170 models for 1850, there was a lot of clipping, cleaning, and gluing.

My thoughts on how this list will play:
2 HQ and 6 Troops is the breakdown of army composition. Like I said before 170 models most of which are troops equals lots of scoring units. Kill points broken out lots, balled up 14 still a big number realistically I can hide the platoon command squads fairly easily. Commissar goes with the lascannon platoon. Puts the number around 8 or so that I would have to get to win a kill point game. Not easy but kill points is a mission where guard will normally struggle.

Captain Al'rahem and his platoon with my Veterans as well (thanks to Creed) will outflank, these along with my platoon with meltaguns is my go out and get some objective units. The melta gun platoon is also my give covers saves to my other guys unit.

Now that it is built:
I plan on play testing a few things to get a feel for them. There are few things I'm considering changing. Is the Commissar Lord is this a necessary model? Heavy Bolter Heavy Weapons Squad? Do I need a multi shot squad so to speak? Are the advisors worth it? I know the astropath is, but what about everyone else? Do I need some combat punch? Outflanking Orgyns sounds fun.
